Refund & Return Policy
At The BMW Factory, we strive to provide you with premium carbon fiber parts and selected BMW performance parts that meet the highest standards of quality and durability. We understand that there may be instances where returns are necessary. Below is our comprehensive refund and return policy, designed to be fair while protecting the interests of both our customers and our business.
1. 30-Day Return Policy
We offer a 30-day return policy. You have 30 days from the date of receipt to initiate a return. Returns are only accepted under specific circumstances as outlined below:
1.1 Eligible Reasons for Return:
- Defective Products: If the product you receive is defective and the issue cannot be resolved to mutual satisfaction, a return will be accepted.
- Major Shipping Damages: If the item arrives with significant shipping damage, we will accept a return. (Please note: Minor repairs will be covered by us, and the product should not be returned for minor damages.)
- Major Delays or Fitment Issues: In cases where there are significant delays or fitment issues with our products, a return may be initiated.
1.2 Non-Eligible Reasons for Return:
- Wear and Tear: Products that show any signs of wear or use are not eligible for return.
- Buyer's Remorse: If you wish to return a non-defective product, a 25% restocking fee will be applied. This also applies to cases of buyer’s remorse. Please ensure you are fully committed to your purchase before placing an order.
2. Conditions for Return
To qualify for a return, the item must be returned in the same condition that you received it:
- The product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
- The return must include all original accessories, documentation, and the receipt or proof of purchase.
- Custom-ordered products are non-returnable unless faulty or damaged upon arrival. Proof of damage or defect is required.
3. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, contact us at returns@thebmwfactory.com with the following information:
- Order number
- Reason for return
- Photographic evidence of any defects, damages, or fitment issues
Once your return is approved, we will provide you with a return shipping label and detailed instructions on how and where to send your item. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
4. Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt. If you notice any defects, damages, or if you receive the wrong item, contact us immediately at returns@thebmwfactory.com so we can evaluate the situation and take appropriate action.
5. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Custom-Ordered Products: Due to the personalized nature of custom orders, these items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective. Please ensure the accuracy of your custom order before finalizing the purchase.
6. Exchanges
The fastest way to receive the product you want is to return the item you have (if eligible) and place a new order for the desired item. Once the return is accepted, you may proceed with the new purchase.
7. European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period
If your purchase is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt, for any reason and without a need for justification. The product must be in the same condition you received it—unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.
8. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund:
- Approved Refunds: If your return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to your original payment method within 10 business days.
- Refund Timing: Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you haven’t received your refund, please contact us at returns@thebmwfactory.com.
9. Additional Considerations
We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy or if the return request is made outside the specified timeframes. Shipping costs for non-defective product returns will be the responsibility of the customer, and these costs are non-refundable.
